Description Dual EGT Data logger KosoThe EGT-02 EVO is the evolution of Koso's dual exhaust gas temperature gauge, allowing you to tune your engine with even more precision and record up to 50 runs.What does EGT mean?EGT stands for Exhaust Gas Temperature. Exhaust gas temperature is tapped and displayed in real time at two separately mountable sensors, making engine tuning easy. Too lean a mixture is known to burn too hot, too rich a mixture will not reach exhaust gas temperature. By measuring EGT accurately, you can save your engine in extreme conditions.Tip: For optimum engine performance, the rule of thumb is that the spark plug should be brownish. Further downjetting will increase the engine's power output, the spark plug will become whiter and the engine might seize. You have to use a jet which results in a mixture so lean that you get an exhaust gas temperature of 650° on a straight with full throttle. Depending on the material, you can go higher, but this can lead to piston seizure due to overheating, which is displayed via an integrated warning function. The screen flashes red as soon as something is wrong with the engine.
