Notes and Safety Fuel pumpFuel pumps are less common on two-wheelers with carburetors, but they are mandatory on fuel-injected engines. If the tank is lower than the carburetor (as is the case with some scooters), it is not possible to feed the fuel to the carburetor by simple vacuum.
